In late November we held 3 events on the new SEAI Community Grants in Ballybane (21 and 22/11) and Westside (26/11). The meetings detailed some of the other relevant SEAI grants. The purpose of the meetings were:

  • To encourage new Sustainable Energy Communities to form (see details on SEAI’s new Community Grant).
  • To build an SEC in one or both areas.
  • To raise awareness on the full suite of grants available. Sustainability is a core principle of the Co-op and by raising awareness we can change the culture in Galway so that more and more people are improving the energy performance of their homes.
  • Further recruitment for the Co-op.
